   The easiest way I do it if there is a build available is to grab the 
installation/netboot/install.ram.gz kernel, plop it in the root 
filesystem, and boot using that kernel.  Getting the binary sets 
beforehand makes it easier to upgrade, although the upgrade could be done 
from sets on an ftp server.

   There are 'daily' builds on ftp.netbsd.org - depending upon the state of 
the tree and the build process at the time.  I noticed that the build 
200704140002Z appears to have had problems and a large number of machines 
failed.  The build 200704130002Z has a completed vax build:
