The ethernet controllers are about as smart as they get already. Hmm, 
but maybe I'm mixing it up with the Unibus ethernet controllers here. 
The Qbus ethernet might be more stupid now that I think about it. But 
not by that much, I think. There isn't room for much more efficiency.
