Well, not really "surprisingly". There's only a little number of people
using VAXen these days (at least with GNUish compilers) and, more
important, even less people with enough knowledge to forward port the
VAX bits into a current GCC. I've started with this some time ago (for
Linux on VAX to be honest), but it's not easy, given that I don't know a
lot about GCC.

So if anybody wants to join, please drop me an email... (Of course, at
GCC level, there's not much difference between *BSD and Linux...)
