FYI:
A couple of people emailed me and yes, the trick is to remove the
grey front panel first.  two tabs on each side (four in total) hold
the front panel on, so just press those in with a very large amount
of force (more than I would expect) and the front pops off then
you can push in the four other tabs and the top&bottom halves
separate with little problem afterwords.
And I now have a RZ29 system disk to replace my RZ26!  Yay!
