I forgot that VMS probably doesn't allow one to login via serial console
and then run DECwindows anyway; if you use framebuffer console while
typing above lines you'll clobber the result (because of scrolling),
this would only work if you used serial console (and VMS set plane mask
properly to allow for all colors to be displayed).
