Nevertheless the problem do not disappear.
I can set halt to the value 1 or 2, but after the booting of NetBSD it 
is reset to 0.
It happens somewhere after the detection of the CPU in the kernel startup.
If i press the halt-button before that, the setting remains, but after 
that it is reset.

Why is the NetBSD kernel resetting some of the ROM-values?

PS.: I'm using NetBSD 1.6.1 with a custom kernel.
