Yes, that one (floppy boot) I *KNOW* works... I booted 1.6 around
the end of December 2002 on one of my 3100s

...as for the tape discussion:
I last booted 1.4.1(?) off external TK50 about two years ago.
But I've upgraded all of my stuff to 1.5.2 and I'm looking into 1.6.x now
so I hope the discussion of booting off tape brings out some fixes...
I've got a couple of 4300 with TK70s that I'd like to try tape boot.
