     Thank you, Melt. I should have specified that I was looking for 
pkg's for v1.6. I see that the 
ftp://ftp.us.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/packages/1.6/vax/ directory went 
into place yesterday.
     Thank you, Brian. I see that you already have many of the 
essentials in there. They have arrived just in time to make a good
