To check the disklabel:
disklabel rl0c

since they don't have a proper label at this time, you'll get a
fabricated label good enough to create a proper label.
(Ask aagin if you need directions about disklabel)

Create for instance a disklabel where you say that rl0c is a 4.2BSD file
system. Then:

newfs /dev/rl0c

and you'll have a filesystem at rl0c, which you can mount wherever you
want to. fsck shouldn't be neccesary unless you crash the system without
properly unomunting the disks.
