It's a MicroVAX 3100, so all he'll have is a serial console.  I recall
there being problems with how NetBSD/vax handled the serial consoles on
KA41 variants years ago (i.e. it would switch to one of the other ports
mid-boot, I forget which port though), but damn I'm surprised that it
might /still/ be broken.

My advice.  Try to see if you can find the login: prompt on another one
of the serial ports.  If it's there, then this should be submitted as a
bug with send-pr.
