This is quite possible - I don't
have an SPD for Ultrix but I do
know that support for the later
VAXen was spotty at best.

Mostly, I guess, because OSF/1
was around the corner and VAXen
stopped being interesting to
that group?

Leaving aside the inadequacy of booting
over a 36K line :-), remember that infoserver
access uses a non-routed protocol: you have
to be on the same extended LAN as the
infoserver (IIRC). On the plus side,
I can personally vouch for the VAX 6000's
ability to boot from an Infoserver!
