For me it does. My system runs totally NFS mounted, and while making a
build, I get lots of these timeouts. And I do believe I have network
traffic enough for two at that time. :-)

That is definitely possible. This is a DELQA. I had another DELQA which
probably had older microcode, and NetBSD simply refused to work with that
card. Swapped the ROMS, and it worked, so it was definitely the
microcode...
