Hi,

this may be slightly off topic, but only slightly :-)

At my workplace, where we still run VMS, we're wondering if we can
migrate some nodes in our cluster to Tru64 (or any other Unix system
for that matter.) I suppose, since even Ultrix 4.2 (and older)
supported the CI and the HSC, there should be no problem. However,
apparently a small piece is missing, the VMS file system driver
for Unix. Is there anything like it? Does OSF/1 alias Tru64
really have no VMS file system support? Am I the only one in
history asking this question? :-)

thanks,
-Gunther

BTW: I finally moved my 6000/400 down into the basement. It's got
a nice home there. My friend helped me screwing it apart, so we
two could move the bare skeletton downstairs. Then I put
everything back together. Time required: 2 hours taking apart,
1 hour moving, 4 hours putting back together (includes running
a wire to a new power hookup.) Can't wait actually using it :-)
Sorry that it's taking me so long to get to do real work with
the XMI and BI support. My time as bachelor has passed now without
me having the minimal stuff together for starting with this. But
will squeeze it in somehow once I have disks and managed to boot
Ultrix.
