Well, well, of course it did not pop the breaker and everything. And
I don't think it was a fundamentally flawed experiment. We have had
several exchanges on this list where we gathered a lot of theoretical
evidence for that it might very well work through 220 V. And Geoff in
Aussiland runs his 6000 on 220 V for several months if not years now.
Besides, it would seem a very stange AC power unit that would first work
and then blow up because of too low a voltage. No, I think there is
some more detailed mistake in all of this.

yes, but how long does that take? And will this ever succeed in
autoboot mode without a useful device to boot from? Guess I should
have put the switch into Update mode.

sheesh, I should have opened the front door too to see those lights.

Yes but Geoff runs his on 220 V single phase as well. And that was
exactly what I emulated: 220 V single phase (by not connecting the
NULL wire.) Besides mine was working for some time, at least doing
its selftest thing.

Do you have a 6000? How long is your fault light on if in autoboot
without a bootable media anywhere? And how do you connect to the
terminal port?

Thanks,
