[getting OT, depending on if beer does to your code what it does to mine :-]

Next time any of you hit Australian shores, Coopers Sparkling Ale is well
worth tasting (Don't know what the availability of it is O/S).

mmmm - Guinness. I love guinness, but I'm a traditional ale fan, tho which
my favorite ale is I'm not sure - a lot have their merits.

When drinking in the pub, I tend to drink bitter, of which I like
Director's (Courage Brewery), Tetley's and Boddingtons. Then maybe a pint
of Guinness to round off the evening. Unless there's an offer on Guinness,
in which case it's Guinness, Guinness and more Guinness :&)

Settles nicly I find - a meal in itself :&)

Plus, Guinness is only 1.80 a pint (I think) at the student bar, Tetley's
is 1.40 (hence the drinking bitter most of the time thing). That and
bitter tends to be a little lighter than guinness.

My uni has a BeerFest every October. They get like 80+ ales, a handful of
lagers, a handful of ciders and a selection of spirits (just yer normal
stuff there). Drinks are either 80p, 90p or GBP1.10 a pint (you buy a book
of drink vouchers then exchange those for pints), and the thing runs from
4pm to 1am, for 4 days. It's UKP4 to get in the first night, then UKP1
a time for any subsiquent nights you turn up to. Absolutly fantastic if
you like traditional ales, plus there's live entertainment. *grin* Don't
get much work done that week.
