I discovered this the hard way as well. I've got 96MB of RAM in my 4000/300 
but I recently got a KA680 (/500 CPU) and tried it and it can't talk to the 
memory. It turns out that the MS690 memory (which works on the 
400/500/600/700 is not the same as MS670 memory. Sigh. If anyone has an 
MS690 memory card lying about talk to me :-)
