My ex-university VAX 4000-300 runs flawlessly. It boots NetBSD
1.5A (June 2000 build) from an external SCSI hard disk (that I got
from you).
The hard disk in it is probably an RF7x, which is DSSI and is not
supported by NetBSD. Also, the VAX 4000 series will not run Ultrix.
My advice is to set one of your BA42's on top of it, netboot and
install onto an RZ5x disk using SYSINST and you should be set.
