Hi.

Yesterday I unsuccessfully tried to install 4.3BSD-Reno on a MVII. I
could not get the beast to boot from the install tape... (But this is an
other story.) Due to this circumstance I tried some odd things like
booting the 4.3BSD-Reno kernel with the NetBSD booter, booting the
NetBSD kernel with "-a" and give it a 4.3BSD-Reno root-fs, ... All this
did not work.
Doing this I noticed that it is not possible to run the old 4.3BSD-Reno
binarys even with COMPAT_43 in the kernelconfig. I tested it with 1.4X
and 1.4.2. I get errors like
bash: ./bin/ls: cannot execute binary file

BTW: file(1) says
./bin/ls: 386 demand paged pure executable

So I thik we can remove COMPAT_43 from the standard GENERIC config or
we have to fix it.
