I gould give you a cache-enabled kernel, but in my experience, this just
crashes shortly after mounting the root fs. But maybe it's useful to test this
on another machine, maybe my 4000 VLC is really broken, and VMS knows of this.
But it runs not that slow under VMS, so i think, cache is working there. I
would like XDELTA in the VLC firmware to get rid of this problem :-)
