Subject: "System not in hosts database" in Ultrix 4.3

    How do I fix this?

    I keep on trying to (in any way) connect to another box on my
subnetwork, but I always get this message.  Any ideas?

P.S. - I am working with a broken copy of Ultrix 4.3.  It has no /usr or
       /tmp directories(and a lot of hard errors on the hard disk).
