Thanks Gunnar, ok for what its worth I am now completely installed
apparently. things are running a bit slow, but that is to be expected I
think for an 8MB, 1Mip system. Now to load the source on to my other disk
and try a full system build. 

Is there anything like "swapinfo" yet for NetBSD? (I'm trying to get a feel
for where I'm spending most of my time, I suspect it is in the disk driver
but I have only a suspicion.)
