darn, changing the terminal settings didn't help :(
But there's also something about recv. and xmit handshaking, what should I
set these to? (I tried with both at XON/XOFF and both at none, didn't make
any difference)

I'll be getting some terminal-adaptors tomorrow so I can test the terminal
on a PC just to be 100% sure that it works (it worked when I took it down
4 months ago)

I have tripple-checked the cable and the tty-socket "pins" to make sure
they really connect to the MMJ plug, so I'm fairly certain that this is
okay.

Looks like I could use some info on what those LED's mean, so if anybody
knows then please help.
