OK... I had exactly the same results with the rewritten boot tape. It sawed around for about two minutes, and the console showed that it at least tried to boot, but it simply stalled after said minutes had elapsed.

Is there a revision level in the hardware I need to be worried about? Perhaps something in the VAX's TK50 controller? As mentioned, I'm using a MicroVAX III (KA650, ver. 5.7 firmware) with 24 megs RAM.

	Thanks in advance.
