ok: I got the MVII booting off local disk.

it complains that "network is unreachable" - ok, i just need to give it
"myip" (i forgot.. )

I tried to start "vi" - the kernel panicked: segv in kernel mode rv 1

I type s in teh db> prompt.

it says

"syncing disks..."  and hangs for several minutes. i HAlt the machine and
reboot.

It semms to boot ok, start to fsck, marked teh first filesystem clean
and..
