Ordinarily I would agree with you, but this doesn't work... Under kernel
1.3 #1 using the raw disk device on a drive without a pre-existing label
(or maybe always... as I have no other basis to test this) causes a kernel
panic:

	# dd if=/usr/mdec/raboot of=/dev/rsd0c
	sd0: no disk label
	panic: pmap_enter: lost mapping
	Stopped at      0x8009d9eb:     bicl3   $0xffbfffff, r2, r1
	db>
