Just for kicks I built an UVM kernel today for vaxine (uVAX II, 9 MB)
from May 23 -current sources. I ran it for 4 hours and it was stable as
long as I left it alone. The minute I fired up the compiler it crashed
(machine check, memory err! panic: mchk).

So I built another kernel from the same sources but without UVM and it's
solid as a rock. I've been pounding on it for two hours now but haven't
been able to crash it. Here's what's cooking right now:

Four users compiling various utilities, one preparing man pages and one
running top(1). On top of that a PC over in the corner here is
requesting Web pages as fast as vaxine can deliver them. OK, I'm
impressed.

If that 1.3 hang problem was caused by several processes competing for
CPU then it's gone now... ;-)
