I've recently been working with netbooting a pair of VS2000s with only
6Megs of RAM and no disk drives. Does anyone around here run NetBSD/vax
on such a minimal config?

I've been having problems with both the standard 1.3A (16 Jan 1998) kernel
and Ragge's new 1.3E (23 May 1998) kernel. I can get the systems booted up
to their console login prompt, but almost immediately the machines lock up
on me. In some instances I can only get a few characters typed at the
login prompt before it locks. In other cases I can log in all the way but
then relatively quickly things lock up on me.

At this point I'm a bit suspect of it being related to there not being
much memory present in the systems. After the kernel(s) load, it reports
there being only about 3.5Megs available which seems a bit tight. No
doubt a VS2000 customized kernel would help some, and I could probably
remove a daemon or two from `rc'.

For now I was just wondering if others have had similar problems with
their VS2000s.
