Argh.

I sucked down the entire NetBSD-VAX binary distribution, as well as the
source tree, and assembled a directory tree on my Linux box. I then spent a
very frustrating night trying to build a cross-compilation environment from
that version of GCC, with the VAX library and include files. No luck...it
seems the GCC in the NetBSD source tree doesn't know how to deal with
building cross-sompilers to NetBSD-VAX (though it does know how to do it
for other targets). I finally gave up in frustration.

Has anyone successfully built a cross-development environment? How in blue
blazes did you do it? Alternatively, anyone have a VAX on the net I could
use to build binaries until I get my system running natively?
