I think I'm really close now. I played around and now my VaxStation
3100/M30 is booting standalone sort of. It boots the kenel but it says
the boot device is unknown and asks me for a root device. I tell it sd0c
and it go on but when ever I do something disk related I get lots of
lines of this:

DMA incomplete: ntrans=8192/8192, lock=98
si_dma_stop: timeout?
DMA incomplete: ntrans=8192/8192, lock=98
si_dma_stop: timeout?
DMA incomplete: ntrans=8192/8192, lock=98
si_dma_stop: timeout?
DMA incomplete: ntrans=8192/8192, lock=98
si_dma_stop: timeout?
DMA incomplete: ntrans=8192/8192, lock=98
si_dma_stop: timeout?

I assume I need the newer kernel with more VaxStation SCSI support, does
anyone have or know where to get this?

Thanks,
Mike Frager
