My good old PDP-11/83 with 2.11BSD can keep a TK50 streaming while
writing it, while my VAX-11/650 with NetBSD 1.3 painstakingly writes a
single block at a time.  (256KB blocks make dumps bearable, though.)
There's very obviously room for improvement in the driver!  :-)
