DEC RD54 is really Maxtor XT-2190. It has 1224 cylinders(*) and 15 heads. Given
the unformatted track length of 10416.666... bytes (the standard for ST-506/412
MFM), the unformatted capacity is 190 MB, which is reflected in the model #.
The MFM controller in question uses 512-byte sectors, therefore there will be
17 of them per track. AFAIK, the controller in question can handle 1:1
interleave, but I'm not sure.

(*) Maxtor docs say 1224 cylinders, DEC docs say 1221 cylinders. Dunno who is
right.
