I quoted that bit directly from the DEC documentation, even though I
reacted somewhat to the ambiguity of the statement.  It's not saying
that the disk and tape devices both share some 10½" form factor, but
rather that the disks are 10½" disks -- e.g. RA81, as in my case.

The devices are mounted in the integrated 19" rack, of course.
