Got hold of a TK50Z at the weekend and managed to get it working on an
Alpha running OSF/1, so thought I would have a go at getting miniroot up
and running, prior to full installation.

Target machine is a Vax 3550, 48megs, DSSI disk via KFQSA, RF71 disk,
delqa and tk70 tape. Transferred the two tk50 files using dd on the
Alpha and tape then booted fine on 3550. Run edlabel to partition and
label disk with the following partition table:

	a:	0-64000 ~32meg root
	b:	64000 - 128000 ditto swap
	c:	0 - 781440 whole disk

	g:	128000 - 781440 balance for /usr

Disk labelled and partitioned fine. Miniroot transferred with no
problems. Reboot tape and get:

root device ra0*

Warning (clock stuff)

Preserved 3687 blocks of miniroot leaving 60313 pages of swap

Any ideas ?

BTW, Tapes: To put something back into the pot, would be quite happy to
write boot tapes, as time allows. The dealer I got the drive from has
several in stock at ~25 ukp each. They are 115v, but it's a ten minute
job to change the psu jumper...
