Hello folks!
Thanks to Bertram and others I have had some succes! finally.

I have gotten the boot blocks written to the 
disk (ra0 - RD54).  I have gotten the basic miniroot files into
the root / ...

Now, three quesitons...
1) I was able to boot the rd54 via b/3 dua0
I got the netbsd : prompt and entered ra(0,0)gennetbsd
and got the system up.  IS THIS CORRECT - did this work right?

2)  I have all of the tar.gz files from netbsd.org on a 
TK50 tape.  how do I get them into the system -
do I do a dd if=/dev/rmt8 of=file name I want ...
or what??

3)how do I get a vmunix kernel - do I have to build it or 
is it part of one of the files from netbsd.org?

once again, I apologize if I am asking the same
questions that others have asked - I have been reading all
ofthe archives and gleaning data from them!
