Re: NetBSD/sun3 9.0_RC1 on 3/60

I have not tried NetBSD on my ancient Sun systems for several years. I will have time later this year to try it again. I have a 3/60, 3/80, and a 3/470 that all should work.

NetBSD 9.0_RC1 (GENERIC) #0: Wed Nov 27 16:14:52 UTC 2019

Welcome to NetBSD!

This system is running a release candidate of the NetBSD operating system,
aimed at shaking out the most serious bugs that may affect the next formal
release.  It should be considered close to release quality, but may still
contain unresolved issues.

You are encouraged to test this version as thoroughly as possible.  Should you
encounter any problem, please report it back to the development team using the
send-pr(1) utility (requires a working MTA).  If yours is not properly set up,
use the web interface at: https://www.NetBSD.org/support/send-pr.html

Thank you for helping us test and improve this NetBSD release candidate.

But scientists, who ought to know
Assure us that it must be so.
Oh, let us never, never doubt
What nobody is sure about.

Miniroot installtion also works
 https://gist.github.com/tsutsui/00d204d2e96ae45e05bf25ec776891f8

except two minor bugs:

(miniroot install fails to configure network)
(miniroot install.sub uses sh(1) function not enabled with SMAL)

I'll commit fixes for these two bugs soon.
