Hi,
I have a sun3/80 with, of course, a dead nvram battery. I did the hack
described in the sun nvram faq (it's not the first time I do it, I already
hacked several sun4) and it seems to have worked: at power on I don't
get the "warning: nvram battery low" message any more. Howver I get
"New TOD Module installed, Initializing and Starting the Clock."
each time, even after reprogramming the nvram as described in the faq.
The settings in the nvram (ethernet/hostid, etc) are lost.
I suspect I'm missing a step in the nvram initialisation.

Has someone sucessfully installed a new nvram in a 3/80 ?
