I get the impression that the case was designed such that it
could be used either vertically or horizontally.  For myself
at home, an x10 case looks favorite, perhaps with disk and
tape drives in an external shoebox.  If the right project
came along I might use an x80.  Unless I could get a 3U
machine running NetBSD well for less.
