There's certainly no problem with running a 3/60 (or even two, or even
three if you don't need a card in slot-7) in the same 12-slot chassis
with a 3/2x0 machine (i.e. 501-100 or 501-1206).  The P3 connector pins
on the 3/60 board only connect to the power lines.

I had (have, but the whole works is powered down and out in the garage
now) one 3/60 in with my 3/280, and I had four 32MB RAM cards and a Sun3
SCSI (si) in there too.  With only one disk and one tape drive in it
there was still lots of power.
