The newer boot.net requires a gateway IP address via bootparam.
You have to add a gateway entry in /etc/bootparams like:

client	root=server:/export/sun3/root \
	gateway=192.168.1.1:0xffffff00
---
Without this fix, the newer bootloader will boot up after
quite long timeout, anyway.
