Having added

  options NKMEMCLUSTERS=512

to my kernel config, I haven't had a panic (yet).  The machine has been
building the world, so it's not been idle.

Is it worth me compiling a kernel with KMEMSTATS to try and see where the
kernel memory has gone when it panics?
