There is unoffical sun3 snapshot:

ftp://netbsd.ics.es.osaka-u.ac.jp/pub/NetBSD-sun3/

It was built from 19991015 current source tree with some patches.
Kernel binaries are not tested, but userland should work.

BTW, /usr/src/distrib/sun3/miniroot/Makefile implicitly
uses /dev/sd1b to make miniroot image.
I think it should be fixed to use vnconfig.
