Excellent advice, der Mouse! 8-].. vacuuming keeps the sun3's happy.

Well, considering that SCO is very System V'ish (depending on what release  
you got and how much SCO thought they might actually *use* System V style  
things in their pseudo @#$%&! System V env, *grrrr* ), this might be a  
stretch.

Maybe my brain hasn't returned from Xmas vacation yet (or just turned into a  
giant frostbyte in -40F windchills, dunno..), but shouldn't endian'ism play a  
role here, too?  Intel and m68k are different endian.  So, possibly keep in  
mind to use dd's swab option if it doesn't work, I suppose.

Hmm, might be easier to find a friendly neighborhood NetBSD'er and stop by to  
get the thing right, depending on what your locale is ;-).
