Did you recompile rpc.portmap?  That was a problem last time I used a Linux
box to boot an Xterminal....  Bootparamd *REFUSED* to work without a
recompile of rpc.portmap.


CC'ed to port-sun3 for archival, in case someone else has this problem later.
