The one that slides out lengthwise? Yeah, those are the "hard" ones.
Some of the pizza-box Sun-3s (maybe -3/50s, I never paid all that much
attention) have power-supply covers that just lift off once you remove
the decorative plastic case.

Well, (a) those things were built pretty sturdily, compared to modern
boxen, and (b) there is no need to do anything at all with the cpu
board; you can leave that in its protective metal enclosure and still
open up the power supply enough to vacuum it out.

Yeah, they all are like that. But you don't take apart the metal case.
You just take off the plastic case and then remove the lid from the
power supply, either by just lifting it off or by sliding it lengthwise
(this sort may be quite stuck if you haven't had it off in a while; you
may find you have to use significant force to get it to move).

Even if you want to take the cpu board out, though, you don't
disassemble the metal case; that's just a matter of finding a 5/64
allen wrench, removing the screws holding it in, and sliding it out.
It's like a one-slot VME cardcage, and in fact I think that may be
almost what it is - though with only one slot, the only thing there's
any use for is power, and indeed only one of the three connectors is
present (in the ones I've seen, at least).
