Running a new kernel just compiled on my Mac for my sun3 (config'ed on the
sun, make MACHINE=sun3 on the mac, as advised by gwr), it faults at boot
time:

...
mainbus0 (root)
obio0 at mainbus0
zsc0 at obio0 addr 0x0trap type=0x8, code=0x145, v-0xc
kernel: MMU fault trp
pid =0, pc = 0E07F584, ps = 2010, sfc = 0001, dfc = 0001
Registers:
             0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
dreg: 00000001 00000029 0E514C00 0E09206C 7A736330 0E092078 0E513B00 FFFF0002
areg: 00000000 0E08C68A 0E08C688 0E08C684 0E513B00 0E09206C 0E0C3DB8 0DFFFFFC

(I can't be bothered to copy out the kernel stack, and I haven't got a null
modem handy to serial boot the thing).

panic: MMU fault

Any idea what might be wrong? I would try to build a kernel on the sun3
native, to see if that's the problem, but I don't have time just now. The
sun3 boots fine under 1.0A (GENERIC#31 of 21 Aug 95).

I have modified my kernel config slightly from generic, but nothing drastic
- taken out FPU_EMULATE, HAVECACHE, CD9660, NFSSERVER, taken out ie, cg
attachments, cd and st scsi devices, ramdisks, ppp, slip, tun
pseudo-devices
