Subject: Lots of data on new binaries on ftp.netbsd.org

Okay I grabbed the binaries from ftp.netbsd.org.
I copied netbsd-gen and netbsd-rd to my NFS mount area.

I found my old cable that I used to hookup the 160 when it was here
and hooked one 3/60 (latour: boot server, SunOS) to the 3/60 with the Gb
drive (amaterasu).
Booting with diag switch on (I had some troubles otherwise) and
having set console=ttya under SunOS.
I got bunches of errors about the parity errors. I have to examine
the Wangtek DAT to see if I can find a SCSI parity jumper. I have
disconnected it from the bus for now.

TERMINATION: (since that has come up on the list)
Termination is on the hard disk. My cabling is all ribbon cable with
Sun-style connectors on each end:

	sun3> <---> <--+---+-->
                      st0 sd0

The terminating resistors are on sd0. The segment of cable after it
is about three inches. I also have centronix (SCSI-1) style cables,
but they do not seem to work, and I haven't got a centronix style
terminator at home. I'd prefer to switch to:
	sun3> <----] [--+----+--] [=

with no termination on any drive.

This is what I now get:

I happened to have a 'netbsd' there too..

I did get to the ramdisk root once, but got:

ssh: edlabel /dev/rsd0c
/dev/rsd0c: Input/output error

That was *with* the tape drive connected. Note: I already have a
SunOS label on the disk.

More attempts, with the netbsd kernel from obrien@minnie.sfsu.edu.
I get things mounted actually...
