what is the best option for a hardware raid PCI SATA controller under NetBSD
   on a SPARC64 box?  (either an Ultra10 or an Ultra30, i haven't decided yet)
   
   The Silicon Image 3114 SATALink looks like the way to go.


i haven't tried a 3114 yet but i'mm *really* pleased with the 3112
i have in my U10/440 for about 18 months.  (infact, that system is
currently up 254 days -- now more than double any previous best that
i've had with sparc64 port.)


i don't think you'll get useful hardware raid.  raidframe (raid1)
works great for me.
