I was trying to build pkgsrc/math/R on recent -CURRENT on sparc64, and
got this:

===> Building for blas-1.0
f77 -O -c caxpy.f
/usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/gcc/f771/../../../dist/toolchain/gcc/f/com.c:11868: failed assertion `ffetype_size (type) == sizeof (ffetargetInteger1)'
f77: Internal compiler error: program f771 got fatal signal 6
*** Error code 1

I don't know enough about the innards of the fortran compiler to
really make sense of this, but it looks like it might be an issue with
64-bit word size...
