	Try building awk, and see if the configure step of pkgsrc/lang/perl-base
	barfs about the -sde switch to it's Configure script.

gcc 2.95.2 has problems generating fpu code.  Sometimes I find compiling
things like awk with `-msoft-quad-float' helps.
