Quite a late response, but I recently updated the OpenBoot in my
SPARCstation IPX to Rev. 2.9. The previous ROM is one that I know is
broken. It can only boot of the harddrive with the secondary
bootloader (boot) from NetBSD 3.1, and bootxx from 6.1.5. It's a sun4c
machine too.

If it's of any help it's the 525-1177-03 ROM. Rev. 2.3.
